9. Secondary Glazing

What did we do at the Centre?
In this Small Meeting Room you can see magnetic made-to-measure secondary glazing panels. Having magnetic panels allows them to be removed in the summer. These were installed during a Volunteer Insulation event, drawing upon the £2,000 we gained in our work with Brighton & Hove 10:10 in a successful energy-reducing LEAF bid to government.
Elsewhere in the building you will seen custom-made fixed glass and plastic glazing held on with wooden beading, some of which was installed many years. Some were recently installed using materials purchased from the £10,000 prize win in the EDF Sustainability competition in October 2012.
