At the heart of Hanover

The Woodcraft Folk – Sea Dragon Elfins

Sea Dragon Elfins is a group for children aged 5 to 8 years that is part of the youth organisation the Woodcraft Folk. All our groups meet weekly during term time, and do a variety of activities including co-operative games, craft activities and investigation of social and political issues, all in a friendly environment that values the freedom of speech. This group is part of Brighton on the Level district and is run as a parent co-op.

What is the Woodcraft Folk?
At Woodcraft Folk we believe passionately in equality and co-operation: everyone is welcome to join our groups. Every week thousands of volunteers and young people meet in school halls, community venues and a host of other places to learn about big ideas through fun activities like singing, camping, playing and debating. Our aim is to have great fun, but also to try to develop children’s self-confidence and build their awareness of society around them. Through our activities, outings and camps we help our members:
• To understand important issues like the environment, world debt and global conflict.
• Developing activities focused on sustainable development.
• To encourage children to think as they go forward to build a peaceful, fairer world.

Wednesdays 3.30pm (term time only)
