EDF Energy are running a competition to find a local energy reduction hero. The hero with the biggest vote gets the £10,000 prize. Hanover’s own hero is Paul Norman, a member of the Hanover 10:10 group that has been helping us reduce the carbon footprint of the Hanover Centre (and its running costs) since last year.
If Paul wins he will spend the £10,000 on major improvements to the Centre.
Please help us win. Just go the EDF Energy website and follow our 4 step guide. This is what you will see as you go through each step:
1. On the first page you can scroll down to see how well Paul is doing – he was second when we took this snapshot:
Click on Paul’s “Vote for me” button.
2. You’ll be asked to give your name and address:
When you’ve finished, click the “Submit” button.
3. You’ll then see a “Welcome” screen:
Click on “Click here to complete your vote”.
4. You’re now back on the voting page, where you have to type in your email address again.
When you’ve done that, click “Submit” and your vote will be registered.
What happens next?
You’ll get an email welcoming you to Team Green Britain. You will get other emails after that telling you about EDF and its products, These emails have an “unsubscribe” link on them if you don’t want to continue to get them.
Voting ends at 10am on Saturday 6th October. If Paul wins, then thanks to you and all the other Hanover Centre supporters who cast their vote, we’ll get a major investment in the building including a snug insulated roof.
Please pass this on to everyone you know who will support our small charity. You could send them the short link to this page – http://wp.me/p2gBSc-Nm
