Karen has practised Tai Chi and Qi Gong since 1989. She started with Yang Style Tai Chi and was later introduced to the Wu Style Short Form through her teacher in Brighton – Brian Cooper. She is a qualified instructor in the Dragon and Tiger and Opening the Energy Gate Qi Gong sets.
She teaches both Qi Gong and Tai Chi in her Tuesday evening class. Her aim is to get people connected to their bodies and drop their energy from their heads and enable them to relax and develop better energy flows. This is done in a relaxed and gentle way – the movements are aimed to build strength, endurance and co-ordination.
The class is suitable for all people with different levels of physical ability, above the age of 16 years.
